A ScienceDesk Fitted with a PSY211 and PSY201/S
The PSY211 and PSY212 Overhead Shelves span the width of the ScienceDesk and are supported by two 750 mm (29.5") long posts (included). The shelf slides along the posts to set the height above the working surface. Two shelves can be mounted on a single set of supporting posts, as seen in the image to the right. Additional shelves are sold separately but do not include support posts (select a PSY201/S or PSY202/S shelf unit to go with the PSY211 or PSY212 units, respectively).
These instrument shelves are smaller in size than the overhead shelves above and can be used to hold a variety of items above the table. The post of the instrument shelf assembly mounts to the upper rails (excluding the front rail) of the ScienceDesk frame (as seen in the image to the left. More than one shelf can be mounted to the same post. The split-clamp design (see image right) allows the shelves to be installed anywhere on the post without removing the existing shelves. Additional shelves are sold separately but do not include support posts.
Raised Above Breadboard Surface

These preparation shelves rest on the upper rails of the ScienceDesk frame, allowing the user to create a usable workspace that can be easily repositioned on the frame, while leaving the isolated breadboard undisturbed. The shelf length corresponds to the width of table for which it is designed.
These staging shelves are not compatible with breadboards 4.3" (110 mm) thick.
Versions for 600 mm, 750 mm, and 900 mm Deep ScienceDesks
600 mm (23.6") Wide
Max Load: 50 kg (110 lbs)
These side shelves can be mounted to either side of the upper side rails of the ScienceDesk, providing a shelf width of 600 mm (23.6"). The shelves are available for ScienceDesks that are 600 mm, 750 mm, or 900 mm deep. The PSY353 shelf is compatible with the 400 mm wide rails on the corner ScienceDesk options.
Large Shelf Depth
Max Load: 100 kg (220 lbs)
These large under shelves span the rear of the ScienceDesk frame and provide a large shelf depth, while still giving leg clearance. The surface provides extensive storage both at the rear and sides of the ScienceDesk and allows heavy items, such as controllers and power supplies, to be stored away from the work surface. The size of the shelf corresponds to the size of frame with which it is to be used. For details on installation, please see the manual. Please note that these shelves are not compatible with our Corner ScienceDesks.
If an under shelf is attached to the ScienceDesk, the PSY180 PC Shelf can be used only on the upper rails.
Designed to Hold a Computer CPU

This shelf can be ergonomically positioned on the surrounding frame of the ScienceDesk, and is ideally suited for supporting a computer. It can be mounted to the upper or lower rails of the ScienceDesk frame and provides a shelf size 260 mm x 450 mm (10.2" x 17.7").
The PSY121 flat screen monitor support bracket is compatible with 75 mm x 75 mm and 100 mm x 100 mm VESA mounting patterns. These mounting patterns are typically used on small to medium LCD monitor displays. It features an articulated arm that allow flexible positioning and has a load capacity of 10 kg (22 lb).
A Ø1.5" post is required to secure this mount to the ScienceDesk. These posts are sold separately below (PSY161), or a post from an Overhead Shelf or Instrument Shelf may also be used.

Attaches to ScienceDesk Frame
This articulating arm keyboard and mouse holder is the ideal solution to secure most keyboards and mouse pads to the ScienceDesk frame. The arm attaches to the side rails of the frame and provides 360° of horizontal positionng and vertical adjustment. It is an ergonomic, space-saving alternative to storing the keyboard and mouse on the table itself.
Max Load: 320 kg (704 lbs) (Set of Four)
These Casters attach to the bottom of a ScienceDesk frame to convert it into a mobile workstation. Once the ScienceDesk is in the desired location, feet can be lowered on each leg of the frame to provide a stable work environment. The casters also feature a locking mechanism to prevent inadvertent movement when the frame's feet are not lowered. They are sold in a Set of Four.
Padded for Comfort
This ergonomic Wrist Rest has been designed to provide the optimum height and angle for adjusting nanopositioning stages and enables operators to perform delicate instrument adjustments with higher accuracy and lower fatigue. It is adjustable and mounts to the upper front bar of the ScienceDesk frame. The padded portion of the wrist rest is molded foam to provide extra comfort for the user, and it comes complete with mounting studs and locking bolts.
Sensitive electrophysiology and microscopy applications benefit when isolated from external interferences such as electrostatic fields and high-frequency electromagnetic waves (e.g., AM/FM radio waves, CRT oscilloscopes, and fluorescent strip lights). The ScienceDesk Faraday enclosure protects against these external sources of interference and is designed to fit our 750 mm x 900 mm ScienceDesk frames.
The enclosure mounts onto the ScienceDesk frame, not the breadboard as with systems from other manufacturers, and therefore does not interfere with the vibration-isolated tabletop.The magnetic panels are easily removed for access to the work area, and two holes in the rear panel, offering Ø1.75" (Ø44.4 mm) clearance, assist in cable management. If additional port holes are needed, the PSY405 Cable Port Kit can be used to create one port.
The range of ScienceDesk post-mounted accessories described above can be fitted within the enclosure, providing a variety of shelving and equipment mounting options. In addition, adapter brackets are available to allow side shelves and post-mounted accessories to be fitted outside the protected area.
Our XE25 range of structural rails and components can also be attached to the inside face of the frame, thereby allowing custom enclosure and shelving systems to be constructed. This compact, battery-operated unit allows direct lighting onto almost any surface. The unit can be attached to the work surface via the clip fastener or the magnetic base. A flexible neck allows the light to be directed easily onto the area of interest. The extra bright LED source provides as much light as 3 standard LEDs and the lens ensures an even distribution of light over the work area. The unit folds to a compact package for easy storage and is powered by 3 AAA batteries (included).
