Multi-Axis Flexure Stage Accessories: Adapters
Our new generation of multi-axis flexure systems are designed around a 3 mm wide keyway, 62.5 mm deck height, and a 12.5 mm beam height as measured from the deck of the stage. Our older design used a 4 mm wide keyway, 75 mm deck height, and a 18 mm beam height.
The AMA181 Height Adapter fits under the base of the MicroBlock and NanoMax stages. The riser block increases the height of any current generation flexure stage to match the deck height of Thorlabs older generation stages.
The AMA554 Height Adapter can be used to increase the working height of the NanoMax stages, 3-axis and 4-axis MicroBlock stages and RollerBlock stages, to match the height of our NanoMax 6-axis stages. The 50 mm thickness increases the deck height from 62.5 mm to 112.5 mm, thereby increasing the beam height to 125mm.
The AMA557 Height Adapter is designed to provide a 112.5 mm deck height for the MicroBlock, NanoMax & RollerBlock 3-Axis Stages when a tip/ tilt accessory is also being used. Combining the 35 mm thickness of the adapter, the 62.5 mm height of the stage, and the 15 mm height of the tip/ tilt accessory, results in a 112.5 mm final deck height (see left).
The image to the right shows a typical application for these riser blocks. The AMA554 is used to raise up a MAX302 stage to match the deck height of the MAX600.
The HCS031 flexure stage mount allows most Thorlabs SM1-based products to be mounted to any stage using the standard 3 mm wide alignment groove. The optical axis height of this mount is 18 mm, which requires any accessory being used in the same system to be fitted with the AMA093 Shim Block detailed below.
The AMA093 Shim Block fits under any Thorlabs accessory and increases the optical axis height to 18 mm to match the HCS031. The shim block includes two mounting cleats, with extended screws, to fasten accessories to the top deck of the stage.
