Product Summary:

Thorlabs' SM05PD6A is a high-speed Germanium photodiode with a spectral response from 800-1800 nm. This photodiode has a PIN structure that provides fast Rise/Fall Times (5ns) with a bias voltage of 5V. A external SM05 thread on the main body makes the SM05PD6A compatible with all Thorlabs SM05 mounting adapters.

The SM05PD6A is ideal for measuring both pulsed and CW light sources, by absorption of photons or charged particles and generate a flow of current in an external circuit, proportional to the incident power.
